SPOTLIGHT AWARDS

The Music Center occasionally has a limited number of openings for talented artists for in-school programs. Artists on the roster provide more than 14,000 performances and workshops annually. Artists, who are currently working in a fine arts discipline, have an interest in sharing their art with students and have the flexibility to meet school performance schedules, may submit an application. Experience working with school age groups or audiences is essential.

To join the Roster of Artists, artists are required to audition their programs before a group of students and a panel of artists, educators, and arts administrators.

The Music Center has completed audition selections for the 2008/2009 season and brochure. Artists may submit their application at any time; however the Music Center is not currently seeking or auditioning new artists.

Before submitting an application, artists are encouraged to read descriptions of the artists currently on the roster (in the Artist Directory), as the Music Center does not duplicate programs. Applicants should take into consideration how the program would be unique or fill an existing void. Artists should also review The Music Center's "Programs In Schools" to determine which program is best suited to them.
