The award-winning Mexican puppeteer Alejandro Benítez and his company Facto Teatro is creating Panteón de Fiesta, a bilingual (Spanish/English) work based on traditions of the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday celebrated in Mexico. The performance will feature traditional music performed live by musicians from Mexico. The Music Center’s commissioning of this piece is made possible, in part, by a grant from The Jim Henson Foundation.
